This week’s soundtrack is an interesting branch of from the normal chiptunes I share/listen to. The band Fish Hook is a ska inspired chiptune collective. Typically I’m not into the ska scene because it heavily advocates using alcohol to address symptoms of unhappiness and depression. I can’t say that this album is above doing that but one of the more endearing things about this album is that it also celebrates the ideals of friendship, music and video games. It hasn’t changed my mind about all ska, but it certainly was an enjoyable listen on a gloomy day.
